One of the latest, fast-expanding developments in textile printing is the Digital Printing technique. This distinctive method of printing is used to print the desired image or pattern onto any type of fabric using inkjet technology - a technology that assists in printing colorants onto the fabric.
About Digital Printing
This printing technique is ideal for printing of photos and colorful designs that have gradients and is a good alternative to screen printed fabric. In this process, micro-sized dye droplets are placed onto the fabric using an ink-jet head. This technique of Digital Printing is a three-step process.
In the first step, the fabric is pre-treated using liquid solutions that aid the fabric in improving its color absorbency and accept the dye. The second step involves feeding the fabric through a printer that sprays the fabric with tiny droplets of dye. The final step involves fixing the fabric, which is a process that ensures the permanency of design. The fabric is fixed through application of steam, dry heat, or pressure, depending on both, the type of fabric and the type of dye or even a combination of both.
Through an integration of in-depth technology and fabric comprehension, Comet Performance Chemicals Private Limited is able to manufacture high quality Digital Printing Thickeners that combat the challenges faced by Digital Printing method such as Fixation, Flushing, Shade Change, Consistency and High paste consumption.
